Taov Hassanby Biography
Judoist trainer TAOV: “The passage of the Olympics was not easy. The International Olympic Committee of the IOC at the end of June allowed four Russian judokas to participate in the Summer Olympic Games in Paris in neutral status. The Olympics ended on August 11th. Despite this, the national team last summer was ready to fight for the highest places at the main start of the four years: at once, 12 judokas were qualified for competitions, and Inal Tasoev and Arman Adamyan became world champions.
The decision not to go to the Olympics was not easy.
At first, both athletes, and coaches, and the fans felt devastation, but then realized his correctness. Now everyone has already come to their senses, work at the training camp and prepare for new starts. As for the performance under the flag IJF, this is the first step towards the restoration of Russians in rights. I hope that in the near future we will fight the Rus Naspain numbers.
Many thanks to the leadership of the Judo Federation of Russia and representatives of the International Judo Federation for these positive changes, - quotes the words of the FDR website. Dmitry Morozov, head coach of the Russian Judo women's team in judo, said that it was most difficult to report for the current Olympic cycle, since the team made a unanimous decision to abandon a trip to games in the capital of France.
As for the games in France, they focused on the indicators preceding the Olympics. This made it possible to compare the number of medalists at key starts and understand whether the preparation was built correctly and goals were chosen. In any case, forecasts are ungrateful. Even when teams of different levels play, there is always a chance of sensation. That is why we love sport.
At the same time, 10 women immediately won the right to speak in Japan, and in France - only 5, which approximately corresponds to our initial expectations. Nevertheless, the percentage of competitive reliability has increased, the girls have become much more stable. All these are the fruits of targeted work after the Olympics in Tokyo, because we were unsatisfied with the result.
In any case, to be part of the team of the International Judo Federation is more honorable than an individual neutral athlete. This is not to say that they felt relief from this decision, but these are the first changes, which is already good in itself. The guys fought with a desire, this was visible, so we can say that this also affected them positively, ”said Morozov.
Russian judokas, like representatives of many other sports, are currently acting in competitions as neutral athletes without a flag and anthem. More sports news-in our telegram channel. There is no connection.
