But I am a primitive person, so I appreciate it primitively. For example, in relation to the son. You read and it seems that this is the norm- to leave him from friends for many days or take with you to adult gatherings where he sleeps on a pile of clothes.

And if you think about it, then there is nothing good in this and you begin to sincerely sympathize and worry about this kid. Not for the mother. A woman of non -traditional orientation. Her business, her choice. But she herself tried to pretend that she did not deny, she did not admit. Is it possible to regard such an act as betrayal? It is amazing that smoking two packs of cigarettes per day, consuming a forbidden for twenty years, she was able to live so much.

She died of cancer, but before that, this cancer has successfully overcame. For the first time, she had this disease in forty years. She was cured and proud. Of course there is something to be proud of! Twenty years later, the disease returned. And it has already become difficult and impossible to fight. Susan went to Sarajevo, a hot point where military operations were going on.

She tried to help people, risked her life. Her son went there too. Salman Rushdi supported when he had serious problems because of the book. Not scared. I was friends with Brodsky. On the one hand, a beautiful woman, a strong personality. But on the other hand, as her friends said, she constantly betrayed them. I neglected my son, humiliated my loved ones. It turns out that she helped people as a whole, but she was cruel with loved ones.

We, alas, do not know so much about Susan Umbable, but she was a real legend of her generation, an outstanding intellectual of the era.

Already in the first third of the book, I had the feeling that something in the book was not so and the author with rotten, but I stubbornly threw this thought from the word: it seemed. At the beginning, the biographer still somehow tried to observe decency. In the middle of the book, I went to google, for which Benjamin Moser hates Susan Umbable. And in the last third of the book, I just wanted to strangle him!

Any events in the life of Susan Umbable, her actions, words are accompanied by the negative comments of the author, Moser all the time tries to show us what a vile, immoral, two -faced Susan Umbrelor was. Went to Sarajevo to save people's lives? So she made it out of vanity to populate! That's what a vile she was!

Listen, Moser, so go and you in the zone of hostilities to risk your life in order to save people and give them hope! Why aren't you going? If a person performs excellent acts, is his motivation so important? In addition, this very motivation and explanation of the actions of Susan Umbable is no more than the speculation of the author himself. Benjamin Moser, we are against the interpretation!
