However, everyone who had happiness to closely communicate with the priests of his generation, as well as a little older and a little younger than him, most of whom had already moved to eternity, may indicate that all of them were united by the precious qualities of the soul. No wonder the Holy Fathers noted that only the experience of suffering, the experience of overcoming difficulties can truly transform a person.
The priests of the older generation, without exception, went through persecution, war, poverty and life disorder. And these trials “expanded their hearts”, so that after the Apostle Paul, turning to their students, they could say: “You are not closely in me, brethren”, see not mental, not a head faith, the priests of the older generation, namely cordial, vital, and therefore the gift of empathy for people was sent to many of them.
They were not strong with book learning, but wisdom born of life experience. And therefore, the title of "fathers" was rightfully wore. Next to them, we all felt like small children - and we were not afraid of severity, and were grateful for affection, stinging, responsiveness. In years, we partially survived the same turning point as occurred in the Roman Empire in the 4th century, when, after the persecution, Christianity became a state religion.
Of course, we have a secular state, but, in fact, during the years of perestroika in Russia, the same thing happened as under Konstantin the Great in the Roman Empire: a huge mass of people came to the church and began to present its demands freely or involuntarily. And the churches had to meet these requirements, become more “modern”. And the priests should also keep up with the times, they cannot and do not want to be “marginals”.
Probably so necessary [1]. However, those who found another time and remember the old priesthood sometimes become sad and lonely. And then you think: “Thank God, there is still Father John Mironov! He retains a simple, cordial, based on love of a spiritualism! He does not allow the lamp to be faded, through it we keep in touch with the glorified elders of which he knew personally and with all the simple peasant Russia, which is indestructible.
As Father John once said, “time passed, and it became clear that as it was with us, God's craft for our benefit was arranged.” Many summer, Father John! And now we will briefly talk about the life path of Father John, we will especially dwell on children's and youthful years - where the whole difficult life comes from. The future shepherd was born in the village of Shaban, fifty miles from ancient Pskov and not far from the town founded in the 15th century, through which the path to the estate of A.
Pushkin’s mother “Mikhailovskoye” lies. It seems sometimes that Father John loves poetry so much, often quotes poetry, because from birth he breathed with air with a great poetic word ... Now, in the last years of his earthly wandering, Father John lives near his homeland - in the monastery erected by his prayers in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “Miner”.
Vanyusha was born already in Soviet times - November 25. However, in his native village, the traditional foundations of being were still preserved. It is not for nothing that, without ado, the baby was given the name of that saint, on the day of which he was born - St. John the Gracious, Patriarch of Alexandria. The Mironov family, like any peasant family, was large and truly patriarchal.
Vanyusha was a sixth child, after him a girl was born, who was called Alexandra. Parents were revered - not out of fear of punishment, but out of love for them, not wanting to cause grief. The head of the family, Georgy Mironovich, was a strict father for his children and a stringing owner. His word was a law, no one in the family dared to argue with his father.
Obedience was the basis of Vanya Mironov’s life in early childhood. Mom Olga Denisievna, according to Father John, “How much love gave us, kindness of a simple peasant. She taught us to be honest, conscientious, not to take someone else's, no matter how bad it was, and always thank the Lord ”[2]. Here is the particular touching words of John about mom: “I remember the affectionate of my mother: we children will do something, and she will make us feel guilty, but how?
He will stroke the head, gently, tenderly! .. And you feel the touch of it, and the forces are pouring into you, and you understand that you are under the great protection of the maternal ”[3]. Another mother: “The example of my mother, an extremely gracious person, was of great importance for me. We poverted, but she always gave people the last, not thinking about what would remain.
And the Lord always gave it to a hundredfold ”[4]. In the beginning of the x, a new godless ideology was already planted in the village, but they did not lose faith in the Mironov family and tried to raise children in piety, taught to pray and fast. All the forces of her soul were given to this by the mother Olga Denisievna. The indigenous resident of the Pskov land, she has repeatedly been to those numerous Pskov monasteries who have long been a stronghold of Orthodoxy-and, above all, in the Pskov-Pechersky Assumption, where her son Vanya would later come with spiritual issues to the elders.
Olga Denisievna learned to humility, patience and prayer from the monks and mother-owners. Only with these qualities could you survive everything terrible that fell to the share of the Mironov family, and not despair. The picture of the terrible days of the year Father refused to join the collective farm. And the farm, like any working peasant family, was strong.
They kept not one cow - after all, to drink milk, feed it with cottage cheese, butter, cheese, it was necessary for a whole oily; And there were always horses in a good peasant farm at least two - one arable, one exit. And in the peasant farm there was a different bird, small cattle, pigs, vegetable garden, garden, mowing. But in the years, such working people began to be called fists.
Although, according to the “Explanatory Dictionary of the Living Great Russian Language” by Vladimir Dahl: “A fist is a dealer, a vault in bread trade, a non -binding itself, lives with deception, counting, and a measurement.” Vanya Mironova at the time when they were driven from their own places, there were four years. It is terrible to realize this, but the most of all from the dispossession campaign in Russia were injured by children.
God erased from the memory of the boy Vani Mironov a picture of terrible days of the journey to the camp settlement, his sister recalls this: “They brought us in commodity wagons to the Sinyavinsky swamps on peat mining - to build a hydroelectric power station. Who refused to join the collective farm, everyone was there. They brought us, settled in frozen huts ...
”[5] many families of dispossessed were sent to the far land far from their native land - to the north, to the Urals, to Kazakhstan, to Siberia. The Mironov family was destined to go to the Prinev lands, which became no less terrible for them than distant harsh lands. Father John remembers the losses of relatives and friends in the camp, and to this day, prays for them, cannot pronounce their names without tears.
Three brothers and sister - Vasily, Peter, Nikolai, Alexander the last was a year and a half, died in the camp. The uncle died on peat -development, my mother earned tuberculosis, after which it was seventeen years old and left for the Lord early. All her life my mother suffered, from her tears, she even had a clogging of a tearful bag. She mourned a hard life, the death of children, relatives and friends.
The immigrants lived in barracks, a man for two hundred in each. They went to work in any weather and had to fulfill the norm, for which they gave a scanty ration. Children could also get it only by working. So you see this picture: the little emaciated boys and girls in the old battered clothes are digging in cheese and cold peat, drag heavy baskets with peat, and along the way they notice where cranberries and lingonberries grow, then to collect it.
The berry was a salvation - it could be taken to the city and sell it. The father of the family on weekends was sometimes allowed to leave the city. The road was difficult, far, and after it it was often necessary to stand all night in line in order to get ten meters of the sitz or any shoes and clothes. I remembered the boy Vana one case. Dad went to the city for bread, bought a whole bag, and at the station the bag was torn with a razor.
Only two loafs managed to keep. Talking about this case, Father John adds: "The deeper the grief, the closer God." This is one of his favorite sayings, born of the experience of all difficult life. Father John Mironov with children. Photo: Yuri Kostygov in the year shot his mother’s brother. This can also be considered as a victim, because after that the Mironov family from the terrible Sinyavinsky swamps, from the huts was moved to the village of Mednoy, where it was possible to remove the corner in the hut.
And where was the temple in honor of the Tikhvin icon of the Mother of God. The trouble went on the heels for all the "special migrants." They came for the breadwinner and to the Mironov family, the father was sent to a long exile for ten years. In the village of Mednaya Vanya Mironov, he studied until the fifth grade went to school for nine years. The school was closed.
Released Vanya in Novopavlovskaya secondary school. And here were the same good, “ancient” teachers, and almost all their father John still recalls the names. Even in the conditions of occupation, they knew how to instill in children a love of their homeland. Father John recalls: “For more than a month we went next to the front to the Pskov province, from where our family was sent.
There were such mournful days that they did not go to reach. We had a complete vitaminosis, we were wound up, because we were not allowed into the houses, people were afraid of. Some walked like a grooves and died. But the Lord helped us ”[7]. In the year, Ivan also wanted to hide in Germany, but he fled, crossed the front line and left for a seventeen -year -old young man to fight.
When he passed the medical board, he admitted that he saw poorly, in childhood he sat next to the burning stove, a spark flew out and hit the eye.
But the major of the medical service put his finger under his breath: “You see? Father John, like many veterans, does not like to remember the war. Although, probably, one could tell, for example, about how he managed to escape from the captivity, or how he crossed the front, what feats had to be performed in the service in the artillery calculation. To tell how the comrades died before our eyes, how scary was under enemy fire ...
Apparently, for the priest this is a time that I do not want to return in detail. Moreover, so much has already been told about the war. John Mironov, in his youth, but Private Mironov did not hide behind other people's backs, as evidenced by the fact of his award by the Order of the Patriotic War of the II degree and the medal "For the victory over Germany."
