The talent of the future composer manifested itself in early childhood.

At four, she composed her first play for the piano "Roosters sing." In the city of Pakhmutov entered the Stalingrad city music school. For many years, she has been the chairman of the All -Union Commission of Mass Musical Genres. At the first competition in the city, she, like other famous songs by Pakhmutova - “Tired submarine”, “Eagles learn to fly” and “hugging the sky”, was inspired by the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, whom the musician met in January G., for example, “Song of Lenin”, created for the Russian choir, was performed by Lyudmila Zykina.
