Mikhail Haymzon Biography
The writer's fans are outraged by the director’s very free treatment with the original source. Professional patriots require the film to ban. Everything is like in the previous Soviet times. Only the matter is not so much in the film adaptation-everything is just in order with it. The point is the director himself and his specific political views.
The biography of Mikhail Lokshin is quite curious. His ancestors emigrated from the Russian Empire to the Chinese city of Harbin at the beginning of the 20th century. Mikhail, as well as his older sister and brother, Jennifer and Jeffrey, was born there. Sister is now teaching English, brother is an expert in the field of economics. Mother graduated from the University of Miami and received the degree of bachelor of American culture.
Both held their left glances and were ardent communists. And in free and democratic America, communist ideology is not in honor. We received political asylum here. Political emigrants were accepted at the highest level. The authorities allocated them an elite four -room housing in the center of Moscow. The family did not really need anything. And quickly adapted in a new country.
The kids went to Soviet school. Mikhail subsequently graduated from the Faculty of Psychology of Moscow State University. Then - the highest courses of directors and screenwriters. And gradually began to be mastered in cinema. At first I shot short films and commercials. Remember the advertisement of a beer brand with David Dutins in the title role? It was the work of Mikhail Lokshin.
Then the director switched to a full meter. His first full -length work was the adventure melodrama "Silver skates". The debut turned out to be quite successful. The film was bought by a foreign streaming giant Netflix. And then the debutant waved to Bulgakov himself - to the "Masters and Margarita." The beginner easily bypassed universally recognized masters. Neither Borto nor Yuri Kare, nor, all the more foreign filmmakers, they did not manage to grab the spirit of the great novel and transfer it to the screen.
Lokshin did it. The young director saw this story completely in his own way. He invited European actors to key roles. He removed the unnecessary, in his opinion, moments. Added his vision. As a result, a modern spectacular movie turned out. Work on the film was carried out since the year. The budget of the new film adaptation amounted to 1.2 billion rubles.
As the media wrote, the Film Foundation allocated million rubles. Another part of the funds was provided by American investors. And on January 25, the long -awaited premiere took place. The people rushed into cinemas in crowds. In the first weekend alone, the blockbuster, according to the novel by Bulgakov, raised about a million rubles in the box office. And for sure all the funds invested in it will pay many times.
The former considered the film adaptation by blasphemy. And the latter generally demanded the film to ban. We saw a hint of current Russian realities. But after all, in the book of Bulgakov, it was full of social satire. And she was much sharper than in the new film. Funny, isn't it? The film is prohibited by the play of the master. The Bulgakov romance was banned in the USSR.
And now the new Latun and Berlioza in the worst Bolshevik traditions are trying to ban the film based on this novel. As you can see, since the time of Bulgakov, people have remained the same. And mercy only sometimes knocks on their hearts. And any ban is the best advertising to the project. Only now he makes no sense. The movie has already been released and collects a full house in the halls.
As for the specific beliefs of Mikhail Lokshin, here it is worth separating the film from the personality of its author. I violated the law - please answer. But only the "Master and Margarita" has nothing to do with it. It is known that at the moment the director lives in California. It is still preferred to work in Russia.
